Through keynotes, panels, and live demonstrations, the event captured the momentum of intelligence becoming action. 

Here Comes ATTENTION 2025

ATTENTION is MakinaRocks’ annual flagship AI conference — a gathering of visionaries shaping the future of AI in industry. True to its name, it marks the beginning of innovations that demand attention. 

This year’s theme, “AI that Thinks, Acts, and Transforms Industries,” highlighted how Agentic AI operates in real environments to drive hyperproductivity. Speakers included leaders from LG, Furiosa AI, Upstage, Doosan Enerbility, Hyundai AutoEver, Korea Military Academy, and NVIDIA — each representing a frontier in applied intelligence. 

100X Innovation: The Era of Hyper-Productivity Enabled by Specialized AI

Andre S. Yoon, CEO of MakinaRocks, opened the conference with a message that resonated across industries: General-purpose AI has unlocked extraordinary potential — but real impact begins when AI understands the physical world. While large language models like GPT excel in conversation and text generation, they fall short in environments demanding precision, such as interpreting complex process data or reading blueprints. To bridge this gap, Yoon emphasized the need for domain-specialized AI, or Vertical AI that integrates field expertise and context directly into learning. He noted that manufacturing, defense, and heavy industry hold the potential for a 100-fold leap in productivity through such specialization. 

At the center of this vision stands Runway, MakinaRocks’ AI platform — an environment where any enterprise can create, deploy, and scale AI agents as intuitively as building an Excel macro. Runway enables not only large corporations but also small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Agentic AI era, accelerating the arrival of “a hyperproductive world where one person can do the work of one hundred.” 

Woohyung Lim, Co-Director of LG AI Research, followed with a talk titled “Expanding AI Frontiers with Agentic AI.” He showcased real applications across the LG Group — from schedule automation to new cosmetic ingredient discovery and ETF portfolio optimization — illustrating how AI has evolved from a “promising idea” to a practical engine of performance and efficiency. 

From vision to reality: Runway in action 

Extending the vision from the keynote, the Runway App Studio made its public debut in the event lobby. Described as a “vibe coding” environment, it connects real data with AI models, allowing anyone to prototype and test AI application — no coding required. 

The exhibition zone showcased MakinaRocks’ latest Vertical AI solutions:

Voices from the AI frontlines 

Among the many defining moments of ATTENTION 2025 was the panel discussion, which brought together leading voices from across the AI landscape — spanning semiconductors, foundation models, multimodal services, and robotics — to explore what lies ahead for intelligent systems. The discussion was moderated by Byoungchan Eum, CEO of dSPECTER, and joined by Youngbeom Jeong, Executive Director of Furiosa AI; Hwalseok Lee, CTO of Upstage; Youngsin Huh, CBO of MakinaRocks; and Kangwook Lee, CBO of RLWRLD.  

Over ninety minutes, the panel delved into the core challenges and opportunities shaping the AI ecosystem today — from the rise of Agentic and Autonomous AI, to the implications of Sovereign AI, the evolution of benchmarks, and how companies should redefine success metrics in an era of intelligence.  

Each panelist brought distinct experience from the field — from building large-scale models to deploying AI in real-world environments — offering a rare, unfiltered look into how industry leaders are navigating this era of accelerated change. Their insights resonated deeply with IT leaders and practitioners seeking to turn AI’s promise into tangible progress. 

Field-proven Agentic AI in action 

In the afternoon, MakinaRocks’ customers and partners took the stage to show how Agentic AI is creating measurable results across industries. 

Yongsub Lim, CAIO of MakinaRocks, opened with a practical framework for implementing Agentic AI through domain opportunities and step-by-step adoption strategies. Sunghoon Kim, Head of AI Research Center at K-water, presented a case study on Actionable AI for water resource management, leveraging MLOps-based prediction and analysis system to improve operational foresight and efficiency.

In manufacturing, Yongjin Kwon, Principal at Doosan Enerbility, demonstrated AI-driven engineering drawing analysis, while Nuree Yoo, Professional at Hyundai AutoEver, introduced its Software-Defined Factory (SDF) initiative built on multi-AI agents for scalable automation.

The conversation expanded into defense and advanced technologies. Professor Jonghwan Kim of the Korea Military Academy discussed how AI-based firepower planning could redefine future battlefield decision-making. Sukwoo Park, Head of Part at LG Electronics Production Engineering R&D Institute, shared AXplorer, a manufacturing AI initiative accelerating smart-factory innovation. Finally, Chanran Kim, Senior Manager at NVIDIA, concluded the session by introducing new opportunities in Physical AI, including Jetson Thor, COSMOS, and GR00T, which bring intelligence into the physical world.
