MakinaRocks Hosts ATTENTION 2025, Showcasing Agentic AI to Drive Hyperproductivity
“Domain optimization at the core of industrial AI innovation — Agentic AI unlocks 100-fold productivity potential”
Over 1,200 pre-registrations closed early — Unveiling new Runway features and diverse vertical AI agent demos
SEOUL, September 4, 2025 — MakinaRocks, South Korea’s leading AI company, hosted its flagship conference ATTENTION 2025 at the EL Tower in Seoul, drawing more than 1,200 pre-registrants. Under the theme “AI that Thinks, Acts, and Transforms Industries,” the event showcased the rise of Agentic AI, unveiled new Runway platform features, and presented a roadmap for hyperproductive industrial transformation.
Now in its second year, ATTENTION 2025 convened top leaders from Korea’s technology, manufacturing, and defense sectors alongside global partners such as LG, Furiosa AI, Upstage, RLWRLD, K-Water, Doosan Enerbility, Hyundai AutoEver, Korea Military Academy, and NVIDIA. The morning session opened with remarks from Jongpil Yoon, Director of the Manufacturing AI Research Center at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and Hansung Kim, Director of the Defense Computing Information Agency. Keynotes followed from MakinaRocks CEO Andre S. Yoon and Woohyung Lim, Co-Director of LG AI Research.
In his keynote, ‘100X Innovation: Unlocking the Era of Hyperproductivity with Industrial AI,’ Yoon underscored the limits of general-purpose AI for complex industrial tasks and emphasized the need for domain-specific, vertical approaches. “Domain-specific AI reflecting real-world expertise is at the core of industrial innovation,” said Yoon. “Manufacturing, defense, and heavy industry hold the potential for a hundredfold productivity leap through agentic AI. Now is the time for organizations of all sizes to prepare to deploy thousands of AI agents.”
Lim’s keynote, ‘Expanding AI Frontiers with Agentic AI,’ highlighted the shift toward collaborative agent ecosystems: “AI is evolving beyond competition over a single model’s performance toward diverse agents solving problems together,” said Lim. “Building an industrial ecosystem will be the key to unlocking AI’s infinite potential.”
A panel discussion moderated by Byoungchan Eum, CEO of dSPECTER, featured Youngbeom Jeong (Furiosa AI), Hwalsuk Lee (Upstage), Youngsin Huh (MakinaRocks), and Kangwook Lee (RLWRLD). Panelists explored how Korea can secure AI sovereignty and build a resilient AI ecosystem, stating: “Korea must move beyond foundation model competition to secure AI sovereignty at the level of industrial sites and ecosystems.”
The afternoon session highlighted real-world applications from K-Water (AI-based water prediction and analysis), Doosan Enerbility (AI-based engineering drawing analysis), Hyundai AutoEver (AI agents on manufacturing floors), Korea Military Academy (AI-based firepower planning), LG PRI (smart factory innovation), MakinaRocks (PLC code interpretation and verification), and NVIDIA (physical AI).
MakinaRocks unveiled ‘App Studio,’ a new capability within its proprietary platform Runway. App Studio allows users to connect data and models to quickly create and test AI apps through an intuitive UI, cutting time from idea to deployment. Demonstrations included smart engineering drawing agent, smart factory business management chatbot (Manufacturing AI 24), command-and-control situation management agent — all of which drew strong interest from attendees.
ATTENTION 2025 closed early after reaching 1,200 registrations, underscoring strong industry interest in the conference and its focus on agentic and vertical AI. “This year’s conference confirmed the future we’re building with customers and partners across a broader range of industries through vertical AI,” said CEO Yoon. “MakinaRocks will accelerate the era of Physical AI — where artificial intelligence drives hyperproductivity across equipment, machinery, and robots — powered by scalable, domain-optimized technology.”
