Because of high environmental uncertainties such as climate change, photovoltaic power generation is volatile. For this reason, predicting photovoltaic power generation is very challenging but at the same time critical for domestic power supply planning.
Approach
Using time-series analysis with historical climate data, hourly power generation of each photovoltaic power plant during 24 hours is predicted. Climate data from various sources are incorporated to improve prediction accuracy.
Results
Earnings from power transactions can be maximized by utilizing prediction of power generation per hour basis, and stable eco-friendly power supply can be ensured.
